The huge variation of calls that come though to Guardian Angel’s main telephone number, never cease to amaze us. Over the past few weeks we’ve had, to mention just a few:
and so it goes on and on….. Huge thanks to anyone who supports our unending work, however they do it!

A few weeks ago Guardian Angels Animal Support, got a call from a vet in our area to say, that a very poorly kitten 5/6 weeks had been brought into them, but the owners, who had recently purchased it on Gumtree(!) could not afford any treatment.
So, the kitten had been surrendered to the vets, and in turn they were asking if we (GA) could take the kitten on. Simon, as he became known, was indeed a very sick kitten and it was believed that he would not survive. However, Simon had other ideas, and despite suffering kidney damage and other health issues, and following several weeks of intensive veterinary treatment he did survive - it must be said though he pulled through largely due to the care of his foster mum Tracey and all the staff at Vets in Old Isleworth. He has now been adopted and we wish him a long and happy life with his new family. A couple of weeks ago, 25/26 June, we were at Pets at Home in Feltham to collect money, animal food and raise awareness of our work.
On the Saturday we raised £114.82 and Sunday £239.91, so a total of £354.73. We had a team of volunteers there throughout both days. It was a wonderful effort by everyone and however you supported us that weekend - massive thanks. Throughout 2022 Guardian Angels Animal Support are partnered with the Pets at Home Feltham store, so hopefully we may see you there sometime, but if you want to support us with animal food etc in the meantime there is a collection bin in the store for us. Hi friends, Scampi here!
Just wanted to let you all know that 10 months after being rescued by Guardian Angels (checkout my earlier blog posts), I am continuing to thrive! I love my life now, my main pleasures are eating and climbing into bed, with my fosterer for a cuddle! Many thanks to all of you who continue to support Guardian Angels in any way, enabling our dedicated volunteers to continue to help animals in need. The fair on the 11th at the British Legion Club is over.
The weather was cold, but even though we still raised £129. Thank you so much for coming and hopefully we will be able to do more events again in the future. Hi, my name is Scampi and I’m a very lucky black cat, or so I’m told!
I was apparently born with several parts that don’t work properly, including my heart. However I had a caring owner who cared for me very well and loved me loads. Sadly, however they went out of my life, I don’t know why! And my health problems were not treated. But, luckily for me, a kind neighbour, saw that I needed help and contacted Guardian Angels, they (GA) weren’t sure I would make it!! But thanks to them and one of their vets, I did! And I’m having a good happy life, with my long term fosterer, although I do have to take ongoing meds and ideally eat special food. Could you perhaps donate towards my meds or food please? It would be wonderful if you could! I have been with Guardian Angels for nearly 6 months and oh I almost forgot I’m about 8 years old! Here is an Amazon Wishlist if you'd like to buy me some dinners, I eat KD food which you will find on the list. If you'd prefer to make a donation via our PayPal link you can visit our Fundraising Page as well. Hi folks, Snowy here! Sorry, it’s taken a good while to complete the story.
As you may remember, I came into Guardian Angels care with a huge injury to my neck, which proved very difficult to heal. GA would like to make a special mention of thanks to the Vets in Old Isleworth for their dedication and care to Snowy during his protracted treatment. After all my treatment and several months ago now, I was adopted by a wonderful older gentleman and as you can see by the photos my neck has completely healed and I am very content and settled in my new home. Guardian Angels would like to wish Snowy and his new owner a long and happy life together. If at first (and many times after) you don't succeed it helps to have a guardian angel nearby to help... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-57156761
Hi friends, Snowy here,
I've been back to the vets twice this past week! But the good news is that the dressings are helping my neck to get better, slowly and surely. The veterinary staff all say what a lovely older gentlemen I am. Very calm and purry when my dressing is being changed at the surgery. Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm ready to find a super forever home with lovely kind people. Paws crossed 🐾🐾🐈🐱❤️ |
