All animal welfare organisations encourage owners of animals to get them microchipped. The cost is negligible, the procedure is painless, but if an animal does somehow get separated from its 'home environment', it can be invaluable in ensuring it can be reunited with the owner. If ever a recent story was more relevant, then it's this one - the quote from the shelter that took 'Sasha' in summarises it nicely.
"A simple microchip, which is the size of a grain of rice and is implanted under the pet's skin, helped us find the guardian of this missing cat"... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-50496781

Our original website was getting old and tired. It was also a nightmare for our volunteers to administer and update. SO, the website team have worked hard on rebuilding and restructuring our site, giving it a fresh modern look. Please leave a comment and tell us what you think :) |
