It’s our 17th birthday week!

Over 50 years ago, a cat was killed in a road accident. His owner decided to start fostering cats for the RSPCA and asked her friend Mary to join her.
The friend stopped after a month, but Mary carried on, working with many different animal charities and on 6 July 2009, founding Guardian Angels Animal Support in Hounslow. Over the years, we've rescued hundreds of cats and also some dogs and rabbits, and we're currently looking after 40 cats.
GAAS has never had paid staff - just hard working volunteers who care about cats. No funding either - we finance everything through donations and stalls at fairs and fetes.
We only have 2 presents on our birthday list: money and time! If you can give whatever you can spare, either as a donation or as a volunteer, you'll be helping us to save hundreds more cats over the next 17 years. It will mean the world to us and you'll literally be helping to save lives.
