Guardian Angels Animal Support were thrilled that we were the Feltham Pets@Home nominated charity back in 2022.
Following on from this partnership, with the Pets at Home Foundation-Santa Paws appeal, we are delighted to announce that a total of £959.57p was credited to our bank account, from our efforts during the appeal. We would like to extend massive thanks to everyone who participated on our volunteer rota to enable us to fulfil our required 36 hour target for the event - very well done all. Last year was an extremely busy year for us, we were all working flat out, especially during the summer months. We helped a huge number of animals, including dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, rabbits and wildlife in a variety of ways, and it is our hope, with your help and support our rescue work will continue this year. It seems almost certain that Guardian Angels will be partnered with Feltham Pets at Home for 2023, for which we are all very grateful and will keep you updated with dates for your diary. We anticipate an equally busy year, even busier, as people struggle with the cost of living crisis and are unable to continue to care for their companion animals, and afford veterinary costs. Obviously, like everything else, veterinary expenses have increased, which is another headache for us, and in view of this fact it will be necessary to increase our adoption donation fees, very soon, to help us pay our veterinary bills and other expenses.

Scampi, wants you all to know that it’s now 2 years, since he came into Guardian Angels care, and despite his ongoing medical issues, he continues to enjoy life and is extremely happy.
He would also like to say a huge thank to everyone who supports Guardian Angels in any way, with time, money, food and goods. Scampi and all the other animals that come through, or sometimes stay in our care, like him(!) are extremely grateful. We're delighted to have been asked to participate in and benefit from the Pets at Home Foundation Santa Paws appeal this year. We'll be fundraising in the store over the weekends of 3/4th and 10/11th December from 10am until 4pm. Every £1 donated will help animals in need, so come along, say hello and do your bit to help animals in need this Christmas - thank you. We love a lighthearted read, and some of these animals are very special indeed - enjoy!

Come along and meet us, it would be great to see new friends and old whilst we’re there!
The huge variation of calls that come though to Guardian Angel’s main telephone number, never cease to amaze us. Over the past few weeks we’ve had, to mention just a few:
and so it goes on and on….. Huge thanks to anyone who supports our unending work, however they do it! A few weeks ago Guardian Angels Animal Support, got a call from a vet in our area to say, that a very poorly kitten 5/6 weeks had been brought into them, but the owners, who had recently purchased it on Gumtree(!) could not afford any treatment.
So, the kitten had been surrendered to the vets, and in turn they were asking if we (GA) could take the kitten on. Simon, as he became known, was indeed a very sick kitten and it was believed that he would not survive. However, Simon had other ideas, and despite suffering kidney damage and other health issues, and following several weeks of intensive veterinary treatment he did survive - it must be said though he pulled through largely due to the care of his foster mum Tracey and all the staff at Vets in Old Isleworth. He has now been adopted and we wish him a long and happy life with his new family. A couple of weeks ago, 25/26 June, we were at Pets at Home in Feltham to collect money, animal food and raise awareness of our work.
On the Saturday we raised £114.82 and Sunday £239.91, so a total of £354.73. We had a team of volunteers there throughout both days. It was a wonderful effort by everyone and however you supported us that weekend - massive thanks. Throughout 2022 Guardian Angels Animal Support are partnered with the Pets at Home Feltham store, so hopefully we may see you there sometime, but if you want to support us with animal food etc in the meantime there is a collection bin in the store for us. |
